Merry Christmas

Well Christmas has come and gone. We had a great time. The girls were so excited and Elizabeth said that it was a great Christmas even though her one Christmas whish didn't come true. She really wanted snow to be on the ground, but I told her that Grandma and Grandpa Harper and Grandma Barnes got all the snow. Maybe we will head west for Christmas next year so we can enjoy the snow. Anyway we had a great day. Santa brought lots of toys and now I have to find a place to put all of them. I attached a few pictures. We hope you all had a great Christmas too.

Elizabeth's First Piano Recital

Elizabeth had her first piano Recital on Monday. She did a great job. I was always so shy and hated to be in the spotlight. My daughter is the exact opposite. She played all her songs and at the end she says "Can't I play some more?" She just wanted to keep going. I have been so happy with her teacher she has learned so much she only started playing in September. We have a keyboard that we got for her to practice on (Dave said he was not hauling a piano down to the basement) and her and Katie both love to play on it. I couldn't take the video at the recital so I had her play the songs for me at home. I attached the video I hope you enjoy.

Baby on the move

Well Danielle started to crawl this week. It is always fun when they start to move. The girls still get so excited everytime she crawls just like it was the first time. She does the arm crawl just like Elizabeth did. She is growing so fast, but she is so much fun. We can't wait to see what she thinks of Christmas.

Christmas in New York

We don't make it to the city often, but we always go during Christmas time. We had a great time this Saturday with the girls and their cousins. We took the train into the city which is always a fun way to start our adventure. Then we went to Macy's to see Santa. Elizabeth asked for a dog and a snowy Christmas, I know she is not getting one and the other is not up to me, so we'll see how that turns out. Katie told Santa to surprise her. I told her she should be more specific or he might surprise her with something she doesn't want or worse yet with nothing. And Danielle didn't cry when he held her what more can you ask. We saw the tree at Rockefeller Center which was beautiful and packed full of people. Finally, we took a trip to Build-a-Bear, the girls wanted to go to the American Girl store, but there was a line to get into the store, so we will save that for another time. There were alot of people out on Saturday, but you could feel the excitement for Christmas. I was a little worried about taking the girls and a baby, but Danielle was great the whole time. She sat in the stroller and tried to take it all in. We had a great time and can't wait until Christmas.
