These are a few pictures from our trip this summer. We had a great time seeing all the family.We can't wait to see everyone again.

SUMMER FUNJ

Well so far we have had a great summer. It has gone by so fast. The girls have been spending a lot of time playing outside. We don't have a pool and with the humidity it gets really hot if you are not in the water, so they spend a lot of time playing in the sprinkler. They put in under the trampoline or just on the grass and they all have a great time. We had a good 4th of July. We kept it low key. We went to the beach and that was definitely a highlight. We went to the beach when grandma & grandpa came and Danielle has been asking to go back every day. When ever we were in the car she would say "Danielle go beach?" The girls all had a great time playing in the water and the sand. Layne is growing so fast, but he is just so good. Here are a few pictures from the summer so far. Can't wait to be in ID/UT in just a few weeks. See you all then.

Baptism / Blessing Day

Well we had our oldest baptized and the youngest blessed all in the same weekend. It was a little crazy, but the good kind of crazy. Elizabeth has been waiting as patiently as she could for the baby to come so she could get baptized. We wanted all the grandparents to be there for both so we waited to do them the same weekend. Elizabeth got all the family involved and gave everybody a job, either speaking or singing, or getting them to help some other way. She said that the water was a little cold, but she told Katie as she was standing there shivering that it was the best day of her life. I hope that she will always remember it. She is such a good girl. She is a major help in my life. Sometimes she hides from me because I am always saying Elizabeth do this or Elizabeth get me that. I am so proud of her and the decision she has made. My mom said Elizabeth was just like me and that must be why we get along so well. And Elizabeth said "We don't get along". I just started laughing. I know she thinks I am tough on her, but I know what she can accomplish. Here are a few pictures from the big day. Hasn't she grown up into a beautiful young girl.

We also blessed our little David Layne. He has been a great little baby so far. He is putting up with his sisters well. They love him just a little too much. They tend to smother him when ever I put him down. He seems to say leave me alone I am trying to sleep. I am sure one day soon the tables will turn and they will be telling him leave me alone. Danielle always says "Danielle hold baby" She seems to be adjusting pretty well. We are so excited to have a little boy and can't wait until we get to see a little more of his personality.

David Layne Barnes

Well he is finally here. David Layne Barnes was born on May 4th. He weighed in at 9lbs 12 oz 22 inches. I knew he would be big, but even I was surprised he was that big. All went well with the delivery, and he is home and healthy and doing well. He has been getting a lot of attention from his sisters who think he is the best thing that ever happened. They all just want to hold him all day. We are just trying to enjoy every minute, because we know how fast it goes by. Here are a few pictures.

Happy Birthday Elizabeth

Well we had a great Birthday Party for Elizabeth. She really wanted to go swimming for her birthday so we went to a great place that had a pool, a slide, a whirlpool area and a shallow area with little sprinklers and such for the smaller kids like Danielle. Elizabeth invited a bunch of her friends and they all had a great time. She is now looking forward to being baptized in May. I can't believe that she is eight years old already. It just seems to have gone by so quickly.

Katie's Birthday

Well, Katie is 6 years old. She is very excited about it. time just keeps on passing and they just keep on growing up so fast. Katie had some friends over and they did their nails and make-up and dress-up.
They had a great time.
As you may have heard we have had a lot of snow lately. It has been crazy. We got about 21 inches on Saturday and then another 12 on Wed. I am just so thankful Dave has been around to shovel all that snow and the girls have had the last 3 days off of school. Here are a few pictures.

Christmas

I have been so bad at this so I just wanted to do a little update. We had a great Christmas. The girls were so excited they could hardly stand it and Danielle had no idea what was coming, but she figured it out quick enough on Christmas. Christmas eve we took the girls to the mall to see Santa. As you can see Danielle was not a fan.

We did Christmas here with the girls, these were the gifts they had gotten for each other. Then we went to Pop-Pop & Dee-Dee's house for lunch and more Christmas. While Dave took a nap Danielle spent some time taking care of her baby. It was great day, We hope you all had a great Christmas too.
